The Uyo Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has taken over the investigation of four suspected illegal dealers in petroleum products.
The suspects with 300-litre capacity of drums of premium motor spirit, PMS; two wooden boats and one fibre boat recovered from them were handed over to the Commission by J. Shenu, the Commander of the Nigerian Navy Base.

A 33-year-old man, Odukoya Adeola, allegedly charged with obstructing and assaulting police officers on duty, on Wednesday appeared before a Badagry Magistrates’ Court.
The defendant, whose address is unknown, is facing three counts charges of obstruction, assault and reckless driving.

The workers, led by Emmanuel Bankole, are heading to the Assembly to demand that National Minimum wage is their right and should not be decentralised.
Bankole said the National Minimum wage protects unorganised workers, unskilled and the vulnerable, urging President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Assembly to leave it on the Exclusive List.
According to him, pulling the minimum wage out of the exclusive legislative list is a declaration of war on Nigerian workers.

Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government of shielding the Minister of Transport, Chibuike Amaechi, from prosecution for allegedly misappropriating proceeds from the sales of some the state assets.
